This page is ONLY for students who are new to District 70 for the remainder of the 16-17 school year. The page hosts the information parents will need to complete the process. B. Steps for Registration
1 1. Pre-Registration
STEP 1 of New Student Registration for the 2016-2017 school year is to complete the online Pre-Registration form.

2 2. Complete Required Forms
STEP 2 There are additional forms in this packet that need to be completed. Packet includes Checklist, Residency Verification (provide 3 proofs of residency along with the form), Family Background Form, and Consent for Exchange of Information. Please follow the instructions on each form.

3 3. Provide Original Birth Certificate
STEP 3 Parents must bring a Birth Certificate with an official seal, to the registrar. A hospital certificate is not sufficient. (We will make a copy and return your original.)

4 4. District Registrar
STEP 4 Make an appointment to visit the registrar. The registrar will go over forms, verify residency, copy the birth certificate and answer any questions you may have. Call 847-362-9695 and ask for the registrar.

5 5. Infosnap Online Registration
STEP 5 Infosnap is the final step in the process. Once steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 are complete you will receive your "snapcode" and will be able to access Infosnap to complete the online registration process. NOTE: If you receive your snapcode via an email please use the link in the email which will take you to the Infosnap site.

Slate General Information Packet for Parents
This document contains information about the many ways to stay connected with District 70, from our website, to Facebook and Twitter. Also included is information about how to register your email address to receive updates such as school closings, parent-teacher conferences and school newsletters. Finally, the Acceptable Use Guidelines and Procedures for internet use by students is also included. Parents grant permission for internet use via the Infosnap online registration process. Students sign an acceptable use form in their homeroom class at school.

Money Financial Aid Information and Forms
This packet contains information about USDA income guidelines for 2015-2016 to be used in determining whether your family is eligible for free or reduced price meals. It also includes the District 70 Waiver of Fees form and the Application for Free or Reduced Meals. Download the packet, print the forms then complete them and bring to the District Office with appropriate documentation.
